From the Principal
The Feast of the Assumption: On Thursday Fr Joshy celebrated Mass at Trinity to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, commemorating the end of her earthly life and assumption into Heaven. It was wonderful to see many of our parishioners’ and parents attend to celebrate this important occasion with the children and teachers from Trinity. The children reflected on the life of Mary and why she is so special to everyone.
Inter-schools Public Speaking: On Monday, Trinity hosted the Inter-schools Public Speaking. St Joseph’s Boorowa travelled across to Trinity for the occasion. The standard of the speeches was extremely high, with the judges being astounded at the student’s delivery of their speeches. A special thank you to the many parents and grandparents who came along to support the students and our special guest judges, Mrs Rita O’Connor, Mrs Gayle Lander and Mrs Carmel Babos. The judges commented on the welcoming atmosphere of Trinity and the wonderful hospitality they received while visiting. After the speeches, the students and parents from both schools were invited to morning tea in the Library provided by our wonderful staff. A special thank you to Ms Wade for her wonderful organisation.
National Science Week: On Friday, the children had a fantastic time participating in STEM and Science activities. The children rotated in groups and were actively engaged in ‘hands on’ activities. They had fun participating in a variety of hands on experiments in each classroom. This year's theme was 'Destination Moon: More Missions, More Science'. Thank you to our Ms O’Brien and Mr Niddrie, for preparing and organising the activities. The children certainly had fun and learnt a lot as they experimented together on each activity.
Pre-school Art and Craft: It was wonderful to have our preschoolers join us at Trinity yesterday afternoon for Art and Craft. They are enjoying these sessions and learning new skills from our older students. If you happen to know of any preschoolers please encourage them to come along and join in the fun!
Father’s Day Breakfast: On Friday August 30, there will be a Father’s Day breakfast at Trinity commencing at 8.15am. All dads, grandfathers and special friends are invited to come along and have breakfast with their child/children. There will be bacon and egg rolls available as well as fruit. Following breakfast, you are invited to come into the classrooms at 9.10 am for shared story time where the children will read their published stories. The children have been very busy writing and publishing stories throughout the year and they would love to share them with you. An invitation for the breakfast will be sent home closer to the event to assist us with catering.
Wishing you a lovely weekend
God Bless
