Leader Team Trinity

What a sensational performance we had last week at the Mechanics Institute. The Wizard of Oz was mind blowing. The Assistant Director, Mr Tony Bracken, joined us on Thursday night for the performance and commented on the enthusiasm, joy and skill level of all students. I couldn't agree more. Not having had the privilege of being part of a Trinity musical, I was so pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail and organisation of the whole production. Congratulations to Miss Donna Wade for her leadership.

Of course the community of Trinity significantly supported the musical in so many ways. Thank you to the following people who contributed to the musical, your individual and collective contribution made a significant difference to our students and wider community:

Carlie Oates, Katie Johnson, Jasmine Barakat, Kristy Davison, Penny Lucas, Fiona Bass, Karina Lenehan, Melissa Oldfield, Jodie Beavis, Kirsty Edwards, Ali Betts, Bernie Corkhill, Boyd Corkhill, Jo Birks, Ann Burns, Skye Regan, Stewart Edwards, Jon Bass, Emily Lenehan, Emma Miller, Maddie Miller, Maddy Manwaring, Vanessa Irving and Katie Johnson.

The campers have had a sensational time away and no doubt will have many stories to share with you. On Monday we will publish a special edition Camp Newsletter- please look out for it.

Report Writing is an integral part of the Teaching and Learning cycle and at the end of Semester One and Semester Two, teachers provide parents and carers with a written report. This report uses a five point scale to indicate a child's level of achievement. The NSW Syllabus states what students at each stage are expected to learn. The A-E grade scale describes how well students achieve. The allocation of grades is a wholistic judgement on a range of assessment information, up to that point in time. A teacher's professional judgement remains central to this process. No one assessment piece, is indicative of a child's achievement. Reports will be on Compass on Friday 9 December and optional parent teacher interviews can be from Monday 12 December to Wednesday 14 December.

SUNDAY 11 DECEMBER- Our Community Christmas Carols will be a wonderful celebration of Christmas, with performances from many of our locals and a visit from, you know who. Fairy floss, popcorn and slushies will be avaialbe to purchase on the night and the Christmas lights will be something to look forward to.  Please bring a rug to sit on, alternatively if you would like to book a picnic table, please email me directly. caz.perryman@cg.catholic.edu.au. There are 12 tables that could seat approximately 8 people.

At this time of the year I am putting a significant amount of time and energy into future planning. One area of concern for me is the newsletter. The resources the newsletter takes up are significant and if there are more efficient ways to meet the needs of our community apart from a newsletter I would like address that. Currently 35% of people who receive the newsletter open it. This could indicate a number of things; the newsletter is unnecessary, the newsletter is not what readers need, the newsletter is not easy to access......Today I am sending out a questionnaire to help make informed decision regrading the newsletter. Please fill it out and ask one other parent to do the same, this will help me make an informed decision for 2023.

Congratulations to Pip and Ed Fernon who are expecting their fourth child next year. A little brother or sister for Xavier, Lachie and Toby. We look forward to welcoming another Fernon into our community.

God bless,

Caz Perryman - Leader Team Trinity
