Year 3/4 Excursion
Harden Community Garden
Our Trinity students have been very busy painting old hupcaps and turning them into Kandinsky flowers. These garden artworks will feature down at the Harden community garden - they look fabulous!
Canberra Excursion to the Arboretum and CSIRO
Yesterday, Thursday 10 November, 3/4 spent the day exploring a few of Canberra hidden treasures!
At the Arboretum, we took a tour and were shown trees and plants from all around the world, some are even extinct in the wild! We learnt how the Arboretum is one of many conservation strategies Australia uses to protect and reproduce thousands of trees.
At the CSIRO, we looked at some of the important inventions that Australian people have developed and used around the world!
Did you know that Aeroguard was originally made to protect sheep, but on her visit, the Queen was one of the first people to use it?
The students had a fantastic day discovering new and exciting things, with a sneaky McDonalds visit to wrap up the day in Yass.
