Around the Classrooms in RE
This week we visit the K-2 classroom to see the wonderful work they have been doing in RE.
In K-2 the children are learning about people who followed Jesus. They have looked at the disciples, Matthew the tax collector, Joseph of Arimathea, Mary and Martha, and ordinary people. The children have also been looking at the teachings and actions of Jesus and have discussed what the word ‘mission’ means. This week they discussed how Marlin’s mission was to find his son Nemo in the story of ‘Finding Nemo’ and compared this to Jesus being on a mission to teach about God’s Kingdom.
Father’s Day
This Sunday is Father’s Day. We pray all fathers, grandfathers, and men who are special in the lives of our children, have a wonderful day filled with love and blessings!
Father’s Day Prayer
Dear Lord,
Bless every father and every grandfather with the best of your spiritual blessings today. Let him know he is not alone in the tasks you have given him to provide for and support those under his care. Give him a passionate faith, a persevering spirit, and a powerful testimony that overcomes any weakness or doubt.
Today, on special days, and for all the days of his life, fill him with the best of Your blessings, so that one day he will stand before you and hear Your ultimate words of praise, “Well done, my son, well done!” In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Please take time to listen and reflect on this song by Tyler Wood called ‘DAD’.

This song sums up Fathers and the special men in our lives.
Thought of the Week
A student in my class attached this image to his Father’s Day thoughts this week. I borrowed it for this week's Thought for the Week. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Wishing everybody a wonderful week.
God bless,
