Trent Barrett Shield
On Thursday the 11th of August, 3/4 joined local schools to play in the Trent Barrett Shield Rugby League competition. The girls played 4 league tag games and in each game they showed major improvement. It was great to see as the day went on, more confident play in attack and defense leading to lots of tries for both teams. The girls and I would like to thank Ash Corkhill for coaching on the day.
The boys were split between the two St Joseph Boorowa teams and played 4 games of tackle Rugby League. The feedback from both coaches made me extremely proud. I was told the boys played hard every game and every time I saw them, they had massive smiles on their faces.
Though there were some bumps and bruises, the kids had a fantastic day and the rain held off just long enough to get our final games in and a warm hot chocolate from the Terracotta on the walk back to school.
