Leader Team Trinity
A very big thankyou to our sister school, Trinity Catholic School, Curtin for our new signage. We are very excited and will continue to use the sign as another form of upcoming events.
Reflection for the Week
Each morning I am on duty out the front of the school to welcome students and sanitise their hands before the day commences. I have been greeting the students who get off the bus each morning with a quick question, sometimes it's, tell me the best thing about your weekend, or give me a noun that starts with c. It was lovely to hear the students talking to one another at the beginning of this week, saying "I wonder what she's going to ask today?"
Focus on Learning
We are currently preparing for our "Step Right Up-2022 Kinder Experience." We will welcome our students for 2022 and help them feel connected to our beautiful school on:
Monday 8 November 9.30am-12.30pm
Tuesday 16 November 9.30am-12.30pm
Wednesday 24 November 9.30am-3.10pm
Thursday 2 December 9.30am-3.10pm
We have strategically chosen this sequence of days so that our new Trinitarians can become familiar with school life on each different day at school. Please look for correspondence in siblings bags today.
Processes, Procedures and Information
This week we have had a panel of educators read through our documentation to determine whether we are compliant. Normally the panel would visit the school and be present in the classroom to see first hand, the teaching and learning. However, in Covid times, that has not been possible. In light of that we passed with flying colours- onwards and upwards for Trinity.
Restrictions for Covid remain unchanged except for the welcomed fact that staff do not have to wear masks when outside. As you can imagine these restrictions are making planning for any end of year events quite a challenge. Currently we are working towards a decision for the Year 6 Graduation on Friday 10 December. A meeting will be held on Thursday 28 October at 4.30 via MS Teams to discuss and work towards a final decision. Please see correspondence in the Year Five and Six students bags today.
All students should have transitioned into summer uniforms at this stage, this includes a hat. Staff are diligent in adhering to our Sun Smart Policy, No Hat, No Play. Please either encourage your child to leave their hat at school or remind them to check their bag before coming to school.
School photos will take place next Thursday, 28 October. Photos can be ordered online through www.msp.com.au You may need to contact MSP Photography to get your ShootKey (if you have misplaced your order form handed out back in June). Their contact number is 63602008.
Yours in knowing, loving and serving,
Caz Perryman
