Peer Support

This week the Year 5/6 students participated in a Peer Support training day with Mrs Doolan, Miss Wade and our well-being officer, Mrs Scott. The students enjoyed many activities over the day which involved team building, decision-making, problem-solving and leadership. Our senior students are well prepared to lead their small groups of peers throughout the rest of the term. Mrs Doolan, Miss Wade and Mrs Scott were all impressed with the enthusiasm the senior students displayed in this initiative.

Our whole school will be starting Peer Support sessions on Monday. The students will be participating in a new module, Moving Forward, which focuses on resilience. The experiences in the module help students to identify their qualities and strengths, develop skills, respond with a range of strategies, and seek support when faced with challenges. In this session, the students will establish connections with the other members of their group and develop their group agreement to enable them to work well together. The students will discuss an example of a challenging situation and some resilient and non-resilient responses.

Celebrating National Principals Day

Last Monday was National Principals Day. The work of a Principal is endless, so the staff and students at Trinity wanted to thank Mrs Perryman for all that she does for us - we very much appreciate it.

Book cafe

Book Cafe started up again on Monday, this term Year 3/4 are reading The Boy and the Spy by Felice Arena. Thank you to Mrs Lucas for organising this voluntary extra curricular event - the students love it!
