From the Principal
Good afternoon families and carers,
The shelter shed was transformed into a busy beauty parlour on Thursday morning with a plethora of coloured nail polish for Mums and Grandmas to choose from. Our Mums and Grandmas were pampered with massages, facials, and lots of hugs. It was a beautiful atmosphere and a lovely way for our students to show their Mums and Grandmas how much they are appreciated. Thank you, TEAM TRINITY, for the preparation and energy that goes into community celebrations such as these. K-2 then wowed us with their Open House. I was proud of the learning that was demonstrated by the students and know they felt the same about themselves. A special shout out to Fletch whose birthday it was yesterday; a great performance Fletch. Thanks to Beck Cooper who will work on editing the recording so that parents who were unable to attend can enjoy the showcase of learning.

Congratulations to Talia McKay and Riley Jackson who have been chosen to represent Trinity at the MacKillop Touch Football Trails; a great achievement and testament to your skill and fitness. We wish you well and know whatever you both achieve will be your best.
Walk to School Day will be celebrated a little differently this year, instead of Walk Safely to School, we are Walking Safely at School. PLEASE join us for a walk on Monday 17 May at 11.40am.
Thank you to parents and carers for the quick uptake of our new path and for getting out of the car to pick up your children. Please meet students at the safety sign.
Next week we will begin three intense reading programs at Trinity. The programs are all researched based and are used to increase student outcomes in reading. Through the Catalyst program, the Canberra Goulburn Archdiocese are focusing heavily on reading and the research that has come out of Macquarie University. The programs are based on student data accumulated through specific testing. The programs will be run under the leadership and guidance of Beck Cooper who is our Learning Support Teacher. Beck has been involved in intensive training over the last three weeks and we are very blessed to have her on TEAM TRINITY. We are offering some professional learning for parents, particularly parents of students in Years Two to Six. Please see the flyer under 'School Notices' for further information. I strongly encourage you consider this learning.
As we move further into the year, we begin to focus on enrolments for 2022. Many of you have heard me vocalise my initiative in showcasing our beautiful school, as you know I cannot do that alone. You are one of our greatest advocates. Please share the good news. Our enrolment period is officially open, if you are enrolling your child at Trinity in 2022, please let me know at you earliest convenience. I am available to all current families and new families for interviews, tours, questions, or any other request that I can accommodate.
May God’s blessing be upon all Mothers, Grandmothers and special women in our lives this weekend. I hope you are all spoilt!
Please pray for the Metcalfe and Pollard family, as Nellie's father passed away on Wednesday. Eternal rest grant unto him, may he rest in peace.
