Catholic Schools Week
Next week, our Archdiocese will celebrate Catholic Schools Week. This year we celebrate 200 Years of Catholic Education in Australia, therefore the theme for our Archdiocesan campaign is an adaptation of the national theme chosen for the anniversary celebrations ‘Faith in the Future’ with the addition of Archbishop Christopher’s focus on ‘Hope’.
The theme reflects the core purpose of Catholic education to form students in their faith and to provide an education that enables our students to make a meaningful contribution to the world. The theme reflects our commitment to build on the great work of those who have come before us and to provide a Catholic education for future generations in a world that is rapidly changing and poses new challenges for Catholic school communities. We look to the future with faith and hope that we can face these challenges and continue to build on and strengthen our mission of Catholic Education.
Our Trinity school theme for 2021 is ‘Journeying Together in FAITH, HOPE and LOVE.’ This theme appropriately connects to the Archdiocesan theme. Last term at Trinity we focussed on unpacking the concept of LOVE, this term we are focussing on the concept of FAITH, next term we will dedicate the term to the concept of HOPE.

Commemorating the ANZACS
Last Sunday, a large number of our students and parents met together to participate in the ANZAC Day March to commemorate this day of Remembrance. Following the march, our Prime Ministers, Talia McKay and Riley Jackson, represented our school at the Light Horse ceremony in Murrumburrah. They proudly delivered a reading and shared some of the poems the Year 5/6 students had prepared in class. This ceremony was well represented by many of our students and parents. We thank these families for their support.
