Trinity Athletics Carnival

Our Annual Athletics Carnival will be held this term, in Week 6, on Friday 28th May, at Trinity Catholic School on the top oval. Our school grounds look amazing after the recent rains. I will be seeking parent help to mark the oval in Week 4. If any parents are able to assist in the marking of the oval it would be greatly appreciated. Please note, all parents assisting need a Working with Childrens Check (WWCC).

Children from K-6 will be training for ‘Track and Field’ events during their PE and Sport time in preparation for the Athletics Carnival.

We are seeking assistance from parents to help with the BBQ and canteen and to assist staff with running the field events (shot put, discus, high jump and long jump) and infants’ novelty events. Please let Miss Wade know through the school office or via phone/email (donna.wade@cg.catholic.edu.au), if you are able to assist.

Students are encouraged to participate in all events relevant to their age with points awarded for participation.  Athletes turning 8 years and over will be chosen from our carnival to represent Trinity at Western Region level.

Infants’ children will participate in shot put, discus, long jump, 100m and 200m track events as well as novelty events in their team houses – red, blue and gold.

The popular Team House Tug-o-war and relay for parents will again take place during the lunch break so parents can start their training in preparation for this prestigious event.

If you have any questions, or are able to assist at the carnival, please contact Miss Wade.
