Year 3/4 Science

In Year 3/4 we have been exploring states of matter with Mr Niddrie this term. After identifying the three states of matter and some of the causes for changes, students investigated the fastest way to melt chocolate before using this data to guide their decisions this week.

Year 3/4 used their understanding of solids, liquids and gases to identify and explain the changes to chocolate as it is melted in the microwave before pouring it into their hand-made mould, decorating it and placing it somewhere they believed would cool it.

We cannot wait to design our packaging for our hand-crafted chocolates using environmentally sustainable and Fairtrade practices.
