Confirmation: What a beautiful ceremony we witnessed on Sunday when some of our 5/6 students made their Confirmation. A special thank you to Fr Tony Percy, Fr Joshy, Julie Doolan, Sr Kathy, Donna Wade and our staff who came on the day. Jill Parker did an amazing job with the stoles, assisting at the retreat day and decorating the church. What about that amazing choir? 10 girls whose singing was outstanding and resonated through the church! Well done Trinity staff and students! Yet another example of the wonderful community that we are blessed to be part of!

Matt Sexton: On Wednesday, Matt Sexton (Numeracy Consultant from Elevating Learning), visited Trinity and spent some time in Kinder and with our teachers. He was very impressed with our Kinder students and their astounding knowledge of mathematical concepts and number. This knowledge was visible in their work and through dialogue and questioning. Matt worked closely with all teachers and provided feedback and strategies for challenging student learning from K-6. Matt visited all the classrooms and was very impressed with how happy our students are, the high level of student engagement and the hard work teachers are doing to challenge students. This hard work is reflected in the academic growth of our students in Numeracy as well as Literacy. The additional Classroom teachers and Support Assistants in each learning space every day during Literacy and Numeracy has supported and assisted with this growth. If you wish to go to the My Schools website at https://myschool.edu.au, you can see the evidence of this compared to other schools first hand!

Community Council: On Monday evening the Community Council met and I am pleased to announce that we have finally filled all positions on the Council. The meeting commenced with an Open Meeting which was followed by our formal meeting. As a result, some of our Council positions have different members in the various roles. The Community Council Chair is Charlie Lucas, Secretary is Kristy Stevenson, Treasurer is Mark Sumich, Events and Promotions officer is Amy Mergard and staff representative is Donna Wade. We welcome Kristy to the Council and we are certain it will be a very rewarding experience for her as it is for all the Council members. During the Council meeting some very significant decisions were made regarding fundraising. We are in the process of obtaining quotes for the purchase of sails and outdoor furniture for outside the Library, as well as the sprinkler system for the oval. We also plan to implement a BMX track at Trinity on the bottom oval. Not only will this provide an additional activity at break time, it can also be used during class PE lessons. This will be a welcomed addition to the playground by the students.

Trinity Athletics Carnival: What a fantastic day everyone had at Trinity on Tuesday. The children enthusiastically participated in all the events, the parents joined in the fun along with the Hennessy students who were there helping and we had many of our parents and grandparents assisting as well as supporting on the day. Without the assistance of our parents events like this just wouldn’t occur. Once again the tug of war was a highlight with Gold house winning. Well done Red who were the winning house on the day. A special thank you to Donna Wade for her organisation, staff who assisted on the day and Charlie Lucas who spent hours marking and mowing the oval on the weekend. Next Friday our students travel to Cootamundra for the WR Carnival and we wish them the very best of luck.

Have a lovely long weekend

God Bless
