Prayer for Joy
Loving God, we thank you for the joy you bring us. Help us prepare our hearts for this gift. Bless our worship. Help us to hear and to do your word. We ask it in the name of the one born in Bethlehem, Jesus our Lord. Amen.
Graduation
This evening we will formally farewell our Year 6 students at their Graduation Mass. This is the last Mass Year 6 will share together as primary students. We thank God for all they have contributed to our school. Over the years they have been at Trinity, these students have faced challenges and have learned and worked together to overcome them. This evening we celebrate their achievements, and together with them, we present our hopes, plans for the future and joys to the Lord. We pray that they may continue to challenge one another and, journeying in faith, hope and love, follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
We wish Tilla, Chaz, Tylerr, Amelia, Poppy and Tasmin every success for their future. We pray that they may take away with them fond memories of shared experiences that Trinity has given them and the bond of true friendships that will last forever.
The theme for tonight’s Mass is “Bloom Where You Are Planted” with the motto
‘To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow – Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace.’
Just like the tall sunflower in the field, these children have blossomed from tiny beginnings into the strong, confident and capable young adults they are today. The Word of God has been planted in their hearts, and, as they continue to grow in kindness, love, understanding and forgiveness, they share it with others and in this way God’s kingdom grows too. They are the planted garden of today, ready to bloom with grace. It is now time for them to spread their branches to discover new horizons.
