Classroom Happenings
Kindergarten
This week Kinder have been adding to our class alphabet book and writing. We have been coming up with so many exciting words, filling in our 'H' and 'E' pages. We are starting to use these words in our own writing and are enjoying being authors with our very own publishing.
Year 1/2
Year 1/2 had the iPads out today and were very busy unjumbling their spelling words on the Soundwaves ap - very clever!

Year 3/4
In Science, Year 3/4 have been looking at sources of heat. Last week was the perfect timing for an experiment to investigate how long it would take for cocoa powder to dissolve on cold, warm and hot water.

Year 5/6
In History, Year 5/6 have been studying the History of Australia from Colonisation to Federation. They have found out that the Colonial period was from 1788-1901. British settlement of Australia began as a penal colony governed by a captain of the Royal Navy. Sydney Cove was governed by Captain Arthur Phillip. They now know this place as Sydney. They have studied what life was like in the early colonies and have been building these Dioramas to show their understanding of this.
