Year 2 Excursion
Year 2 are studying the safe storage of food and the processes that foods go through from paddock to plate. To deepen their learning, they spent the morning at Cooper's Butchery where they learnt about safe temperatures for foods, the stamping of meat at abbatoirs and the dissection of lambs, chicken and pork to get the cuts of meat we eat on our plates. We now know that 'chicken' comes from chicken!!! Thank you to Rod Cooper for sharing his knowledge with us.
