From the Principal

Kinder Orientation: Today we conducted our final full day for our 2021 Kinder Orientation. The preschool students had a wonderful time, where they participated in activities based on the theme ‘Under the Sea’. Thank you to Miss Sarah O’Brien, Mrs Penny Lucas and Mr Jack Niddrie for your planning and organisation and Mrs Jo Birks for your assistance in the classroom. A very special thank you to Mrs Bernie Corkhill for coming and speaking at our parent presentation this morning about their experiences at Trinity and why their family love being a part of the Trinity community. A special thank you also to Mrs Jill Parker, for placing the balloons and banner on our front fence this morning. If you know of anyone who is turning 5 by July 31, 2021 and who would like to attend Trinity, please invite them to contact the front office. School will resume for Year 1-6 students on Monday February 1 with Kinder students commencing on Tuesday, February 2.

School Swimming: School swimming begins on Monday 30 November. All students will need to wear a rashie top when in the pool. The children are looking forward to going to the pool and we thank Mrs Julie Doolan for organising the swimming for Trinity.

School Counsellor: The School Counsellor will be at Trinity on Monday 30 November. If you would like your child to see the Counsellor Bec Russell, please contact the front office by 3.15pm, Thursday 26th November.

School Disco: Our Year 6 students are hosting our school Disco next Friday, 27th November, from 6:00-8:30pm at schcool. This years theme is 'Under the Sea', looking forward to seeing the students outfits!

On Tuesday, all students who have achieved 5 maroon armbands in our SWPBS-positive behaviours award program, will be invited to a special lunch with Mrs Gorham. So parents, an invite to lunch will be given to each child to take home on Monday so you will not need to pack as much food for them for lunch. Another special lunch will occur in Week 10 if more students obtain 5 maroon armbands before the end of the term.

It was with much sadness on Monday that we heard the news about the sudden death of Mr Ken Miller. Ken has been ill for the past few months and over the weekend his health deteriorated. Ken was the grandfather of Zoe Miller-Logue in Year 2, Maddison Foley who is in Year 7 at MHS and Tristan Miller. They all attended Trinity and we extend our sympathy to them and the family. Ken was very much a part of our Trinity community and he will be sorely missed. We are extremely grateful to Father Lolesio who came and joined our staff in prayer on Tuesday morning and spent some considerable time availing himself to the Trinity community. The funeral is in the process of being arranged. We are extremely lucky to have Father living in the presbytery nearby a few nights during the week. He is very much a part of our school and parish community.

Eternal rest grant unto Ken, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

God Bless and we hope you have a restful weekend with family and friends,

Marylou Gorham
