Walk to School Day
A number of students and teachers met at Roberts Park this morning to ‘walk safely to school’ together to highlight this very important Government initiative, to encourage and promote the health benefits of walking and help develop the vital road-crossing skills to become mature pedestrians.

Fruit & Veg Month
Fruit & Veg Month is a health promotion event that aims to encourage increased fruit and vegetable consumption amongst NSW primary school children through engaging classroom, whole school and family-based activities. The event is funded by NSW Health.
This year’s theme is Planet Fruit & Veg! It’s all about exploring the world of fruits and vegetables through the lens of sustainability.
Did You Know? Recent statistics tell us that Australians are not eating enough fruit and vegetables. Only around 5-6% of Australian adults and children are eating the recommended serves of fruit and vegetables each day. That is not good for us or the planet!
So, let’s take better care of ourselves and the planet by teaching our kids to:
- Eat more fruit and vegetables
- Choose local and in-season fruit and vegetables
- Reduce fruit and vegetable waste
Trinity Athletics Carnival
Our Annual Athletics Carnival will be held this Wednesday 16th September at Trinity Catholic School top oval.
The Carnival will be conducted as a Trinity Sports Day and will commence at 9.30am with Team Marching and will conclude with Presentations around 2.30pm. Unfortunately, due to the current restrictions in place, parents/carers will be unable to attend but we will be sure to upload as much footage of the day through our Trinity media platforms.
There will be recess and lunch breaks. The school is providing a sausage sizzle to all students for lunch. The children are to wear their team colours or sports uniform and joggers must be worn for all events.
Students are encouraged to participate in all events relevant to their age with points awarded for participation. Infants’ children will participate in shot put, discus, long jump, 100m and 200m track events as well as novelty events in their team houses.
Students from Kinder to Year 6 have been training for the Athletics Carnival this term as part of the Physical Education Program. House captains will lead House Meetings to remind all students about the carnival and of course to revise and practice the popular ‘House Chants’.
