Year 4

In weeks 6, 7 and 8, Year 4 have been looking at the Measurement concepts of Area and Capacity. While exploring Area concepts, we were asked to create a new garden/playground for our local community. Below you can see some of the incredible designs that we think should be built! To go along with our design, we had to dedicate our gardens to somebody who means a lot to our Trinity community. The kids chose: Parker Park (Jill Parker, purple), Irish Park (Burns family, yellow), George’s Park (Fitzgerald family, green) and Boller Park (Helen Boller, former teacher, Pink).

Year 5/6

This term in Creative Arts, 5/6 are focusing on Music. The students have been exploring the musical elements of pitch, tempo, dynamics and duration by writing their own short musical sequences and performing these pieces on xylophones. We have experimented with these elements and what symbols can be used to represent our music. We've had a of fun getting our musical groove on by applying this knowledge to Dance as well. The students have been 'playing around' with moving in sequence to a range of music, feeling the 'flow' of the music and learning to stay in time with the beat and rhythm of different songs. We've also been doing some singing practice, learning new songs to sing and with Miss Corcoran and practising adding body percussion to the 'on' and 'off' beat of music. 

Colouring-In Competition 

Trinity students had the opportunity to participate in a Maxim Office Group Colouring-In Competition. Before we sent off all the beautiful entries to be judged, the teachers picked out some 'in house' winners. Congratulations to:
