From the Principal
Confirmation: This Sunday 16 June, the Year 5 and 6 students in our parish will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please remember them and their families in your prayers, that their faith is deepened and strengthened, so that it will be strong enough not only for their own needs but for the needs of others with whom they share it. Thank you to the parish sacramental team, especially Julie Doolan, Donna Wade, Sami Mann-Rea, Fr Trenton, Fr Joshy and Sr Kathy for their assistance and a special thank you to Jill Parker for making the banners, church decorations and assisting the children to make the stoles. We hope to see many of our Trinity students and families at Confirmation on Sunday at 9am to help sing in the choir and to support the students who are being confirmed.
Sabbath Week: We hope you have had a wonderful Sabbath Week this week! This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a homework free week and to spend quality time with your children, reading stories, playing board games, playing in the park, going on a picnic or going for a walk!
Numeracy Learning: Next Wednesday June 19, Mr Matt Sexton, Numeracy Consultant, will be visiting classrooms working with the students and with the class teachers. The staff and the students love having the consultants come to Trinity and it is wonderful to see the leaps that the children are taking across the school from Kinder to Year 6 with their learning every single day, in and out of the ‘Learning Pit’. Have you asked your child lately where they are in the ‘Learning Pit?’
URGENT Community Council Positions Vacant: Unfortunately, we have been unable to fill all positions. I urge all parents to consider taking up one of the following positions: Community Council Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Events and Promotion person. We meet twice a term and the meetings go for no more than an hour. The next Community Council meeting is this Monday June 17 at 6pm. It will be an Open meeting until 6:30pm. All parents/carers are invited to attend. Plans for spending the Walkathon proceeds will be discussed.
Year 3-6 Open House Assembly: Today Year 3-6 presented us with a very informative and entertaining assembly which reflected the amazing learning that is happening in the year 3-6 classrooms. We thank Ms Wade and Miss O’Brien for their hard work preparing the assembly.
School Counsellor Parent Survey: CE are currently conducting a review of school counsellor and well being services. We invite you to complete an online survey which may be accessed by following the hyperlink: (Please note this closes on Thursday 20th June)
Cold weather: Parents it is wonderful to see the children in their winter uniform. Please ensure they rug up and wear their jumpers and coats. We have quite a few children who have been sick and who are way sick at the moment.
Mrs Cooper has been on Long Service leave for the past 2 weeks having a well earned rest from teaching. We look forward to seeing Rebecca back at Trinity next week.
Have a lovely long weekend
God Bless
