Around the Classroom
House Spirit Day
We had our first House Spirit Day today, which the students absolutely loved! The children came dressed in their very bright house colours - they looked fabulous. The morning was spent playing UNO, where they got to win points towards the house shield for 2020. Red house took out the challenge on 685 points, Blue came second on 660 points and Gold weren't too far behind on 590 points. If you don't have the UNO game at home, no doubt your child/ren will be asking for it - its such a fun game that the children really enjoyed playing.

After lunch the children had a crafty session where they made puppets, followed by a chill-out movie session. What a great day to wrap up Term 2!

Year 5/6 News
This week Year 5/6 have been consolidating their learning in all subjects to end the term. This has been primarily achieved through glorious food. YES! That’s what we said, ‘FOOD’. Year 5/6 have dissected chocolates, pizza and jelly snakes in Maths for fractions – made almond nut brittle and slime in Science to consolidate their learning of ‘Solids – Liquids – Gases and have made Sushi in Geography to highlight the beautiful food source of rice. A big thank you to Amy Mergard for helping and introducing us to a fancy machine called a Sush-ezi!
What a wonderful week of learning!
