Kinder/1

This week in Maths, Kinder/Year 1 have been very busy enhancing their addition and subtraction skills. Numberlines are such a great visual way for the students to count up or down and solve maths problems. 

Year 5/6

This week in Literacy Year 5/6 have been investigating various spelling rules and spelling strategies. Children have been creating word banks, investigating new words, looking at the etymology (derivation of words) and using these new words in their writing. Year 5/6 enjoyed learning a new song this week to help them remember the rules around adding the suffixes s, es or ies to make plurals.
