From the Remote Classrooms
We thought we would share some of the creative and engaging learning happening throughout our community:
Kinder/Year 1
K/1 have been working super hard this week in all their learning areas. They have been looking at finding patterns in maths and finding the pattern rule. Who knew there are so many patterns in your house!

Year 2/3
Thank goodness for Seesaw! 2/3 have had a very fun week participating in their remote learning through the platform, Seesaw. Mrs Lucas had a whole class ZOOM meeting with her students on Thursday to discuss when and where in the Learning Pit they have been this week. These are some of their responses.
Hamish S - the dance with Mrs Doolan he tried to learn through Aidan's online Learning Program
Ruby - remembering the actions to the school prayer without anyone around to prompt her
Spencer, Somer and Claire - the maths problem about the number 4
Phoebe - the Word Hunt activity
Lawrence - completing a Book Review
Hamish C - uploading his History activity
Things the students had really loved about their remote learning experience were:
Somer - the iMovie Mrs Lucas made and working on a device
Hamish C - he is really loving his new book so he enjoyed creating the Book Review
Ruby - the Zoom meetings
Claire - the Maths Warm Up, Thrice Dice
Shannon - the Guided Drawing Activities
Lawrence - Maths Activities
Spencer - doing Maths work
Hamish S - staying at home while he learns
Mrs Lucas, Miss Corcoran and Mrs Birks are so very proud of all the students who had a go at using Seesaw to complete their daily work!

Year 4
This week in Year 4 we have been smashing through our remote learning using Google Classroom. The kids and Mr Niddrie have been figuring out the best way to work from home and making sure we have a great learning space ready to go! Below are a few of the learning spaces Mr Niddrie has been shown, they range from kitchen counters to specially designed learning areas. The kids have taken this major adjustment in their stride and are producing some extraordinary work in the process. We hope to continue our fantastic start to remote learning next term, even though Mr Niddrie is starting to miss the daily routines and smiling faces each day brought with it.

Year 5/6
In Year 5/6 the children have been working hard with their Home Learning Regime. Each morning Miss Wade emails the Roll for the students and checks in with Morning Prayer. The students receive their Daily Plan of Learning through Google Classroom each morning. Miss Wade and the students also connect via Zoom throughout the day and meet with each other in Virtual Breakout Rooms for group learning. The Year 5 / 6 have a Padlet Wall where they post all their work so they can share and comment on their work. Whilst it has been a challenging time for students, parents and teachers, it has also been an exciting journey in learning.
Here are some examples of work from the Year 5/6 Padlet:
