Making Jesus Real – Cooperation
Cooperation is working together toward a common goal.
Cooperation is working together with patience and affection.
Harmony Day
Harmony Day is celebrated on 21st March each year. Due to the restrictions imposed by the Government on schools, unfortunately will we not be able to hold our activities day and mini fete as planned, but students will still be participating in Harmony Day activities in their classrooms on Monday 23rd March. We continue to encourage students to make a donation to the Project Compassion boxes within their classrooms to go towards CARITAS. Parents can also donate online by visiting lent.caritas.org.au
Let’s Go Further, Together!
Congratulations to Year 5/6 who raised the most amount of money in their ‘Giving Boxes’ this week for CARITAS. They raised $6.80. This is a great effort. The total raised by the school for the week was $19.35.
Postponement of First Holy Communion and Reconciliation
Unfortunaretly we have had to postpone the scheduled Sacrament of Reconciliation evening which was to be held on Wednesday 25th March and the Sacrament of First Eucharist Mass which was to be held on Sunday 29th March. In accordance with a further directive from the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra-Goulburn, all First Penance, First Holy Communion and Confirmation Ceremonies are to be suspended until further notice. Acting upon this advice, it has been decided to postpone these Sacramental Celebrations until a later date which is yet to be confirmed. The children have finalised their training this week and will be given an opportunity to attend a refresher day/evening prior to the Sacramental ceremonies. We trust families will understand this difficult decision we have had to make.
Please do not hesitate to contact myself, Julie Doolan or Father Lolesio if any clarification is required.
Thank you for your continued support in these difficult times.
Father Joshy’s Installation
Last weekend a number of friends from our community travelled to Goulburn to support Father Joshy at his Installation Mass. We congratulate Father Joshy and continue to support both Father Lolesio and Father Joshy as they provide comfort and care to our communities during these trying and difficult times.
PRAYER
Let us pray to the Lord,
who is our refuge and stronghold.
For the health and well-being of our nation,
that all who are fearful and anxious
may be at peace and free from worry:
Give skill, sympathy and resilience
to all who are caring for the sick,
and your wisdom to those searching for cures.
Strengthen them with your Spirit,
that through their work many will be restored to health;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
Thought of the Week
Wishing everybody a wonderful week.
God bless,
