Archdiocesan Swimming Carnival
Last Monday four of our Trinity students travelled to Narooma with their families to compete in the Archdiocesan Swimming Carnival. Well done to Hamish Summerfield, Bella Betts, Talia McKay and Poppy Lucas who all swam very well on the day striving to achieve their own personal best in their events. Congratulations to these students for their impressive sportsmanship on the day. All the students were excellent ambassadors for their schools and regions. Thanks must go to parents who volunteered to help with time keeping and to all Team Managers and Staff assisting on the day along with Swimming Officials and students from Carroll College. It was a very smooth running carnival thanks to the support of these people.
Congratulations to the Western Region team who were clear winners on the day with a total of 313 points, Northern Region were second on 207 points and Southern Region third with 107 points. There were some excellent results and records broken and made on the day with the Sacred Heart Senior Boys relay team setting a new record of 2:25.82 (5 Seconds faster than the old record) and Halle Johnson (Sacred Heart) broke the Jnr Backstroke record with a swim of 45.16 seconds. Our region certainly has some very strong swimmers.
Good luck to those students moving on to Sydney Swimming at the MacKillop Carnival.
A reminder to all parents that the following sports trials are coming up. Students need to have experience in the sports to enrol their interest. Parents are responsible for enrolling their child through the CSNSW website. https://www.csnsw.catholic.edu.au/
The sports calendar is also available from this site. https://www.sport.cg.catholic.edu.au/calendar
