Making Jesus Real - Compassion
Compassion: Children will show compassion in different ways, just as adults will. As teachers and parents we look for the following types of compassionate strength behaviours and help our children grow the behaviour in real life settings. Celebrate them on what they already do and encourage the growth of compassion. This is what we encourage at Trinity.
We take notice and offer praise when a child….
- Does nice things for others without expecting something in return.
- Says encouraging things to cheer others.
- Shows interest in others by helping and being supportive.
- Participates in active listening.
- Respects privacy and avoids gossip.

We ask our Trinity families, friends and community members to pray for these special people throughout their preparations.
Caritas - Let’s Go Further, Together!
Second Sunday of Lent - 8 March 2020
Twenty-seven-year-old Phany was a struggling farmer and was forced to leave her daughter to take up construction work in the city. Her life has been transformed since joining a Caritas supported program, learning crop growing skills and better water management, to combat drought.
Please donate to Project Compassion 2020 and help mothers like Phany continue to uplift their communities, and provide food for their families.
Let’s Go Further, Together. You can donate through Parish boxes and envelopes, by visiting www.caritas.org.au/projectcompassion or phoning 1800 024 413.
"The Earth will not continue to offer its harvest, except with faithful stewardship." Pope John Paul II
Students are encouraged to make a donation to the Project Compassion boxes within their classrooms to help this worthy organisation. Parents can also donate online by visiting lent.caritas.org.au
You can find out more about Phany’s story and other Project Compassion stories on the Caritas website at www.caritas.org.au/projectcompassion.
Whether or not you’re able to donate or fundraise, we ask that you keep Project Compassion, and the vulnerable people we serve, in your prayers.
Thought of the Week
