From the Principal
Today we welcomed The Honorary Michael McCormack MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, Mr John Osland Director of Infrastructure Hilltops Council, Mrs Rita O’Connor Hilltops Councillor, John Horton Hilltops Councillor, and Charlie Lucas Trinity Community Council Chair to our school. He attended the Kindergarten and Year One Open House to announce that we have been successful in receiving a $20,000 Local Schools Community Grant to upgrade our school hall. To say we are excited is an understatement! Ms Donna Wade applied for the grant at the beginning of 2019 and we found out at the end of last year that our school had been successful. We would like to acknowledge the work that Ms Wade put into the grant application and thank her for her efforts. The Honorary Michael McCormack MP, wanted us to hold off announcing our news until he was able to get here and share in the announcement. We thank all our special guests for being with us today and sharing in our exciting news.

Community Council: We are in desperate need for a Treasurer! This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved and meet parents at Trinity and actively participate in decision making. The Community Council meet twice each term on a Monday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. If you are interested in this position, please contact Charlie Lucas, Community Council Chair or Marylou Gorham. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday March 17.
Family Maths Moments
Each week I will be placing a ‘Family Maths Moment’ in the newsletter for families to work on together. The first six families with answers and their reasoning for how they solved the open-ended problems will gain points for their house (Red house, Blue house, Gold house). The problem that you have worked on needs to be handed (not emailed) to Mrs Cooper at the beginning of the next school week. Good luck and most importantly, have fun! Next week (Week 7) the working out will need to be given to Mrs Davis as Mrs Cooper will be attending Professional Development.
Have a lovely weekend!
God Bless,
Rebecca Cooper
Assistant Principal
