Western Region Swimming Carnival
On Monday 17th February Trinity hosted the very successful Western Region Swimming Carnival with participating schools from:
St Joseph’s Adelong St Mary’s Batlow
St Joseph’s Boorowa Sacred Heart Cootamundra
St Joseph’s Grenfell St Patrick’s Gundagai
Trinity Murrumburrah St Francis Xavier Lake Cargelligo
St Anne’s Temora McAuley Tumut
St Mary’s West Wyalong St Mary’s Young
Our students swam like champions and were constantly supporting their teammates and competitors from other schools in our region.
The competition was tough on the day but our very own Hamish Summerfield, Bella Betts, Talia McKay and Poppy Lucas were successful in progressing to the Archdiocesan Carnival with Hamish in 8 years 50m Freestyle, Bella in 10 years 50m Freestyle, Talia in 11 years 50m Breaststroke and Poppy in 12-13 years 50m Breaststroke. We wish both girls the best of luck as they prepare to take on this next challenge. The Archdiocesan Swimming Carnival will be held in Narooma on Monday 2nd March.
We had magnificent support from Trinity families from setting up and preparing/serving food to timekeeping and doing carnival duties over the day. Thank you to all our parents/grandparents and Hennessy helpers who came and supported the carnival and helped in any way to make it such a success. Your support is greatly appreciated.
