Trinity Leadership and Welcome Mass
This week, Trinity celebrated our new Ministers at a special Induction Mass. During this mass we welcomed new families, students and teachers to our Trinity Community and our Ministers pledged their commitment to our school as leaders for 2020 before receiving their Ministerial Badges. During the course of this year, we will touch many lives and follow and share the love of Christ in all we do and say as we strive to ‘Make Jesus Real’ in our school. We recognise the special qualities that each of us have been blessed with, and pray for God’s blessing on our School. At Trinity we focus on the need to belong and the gift of belonging to God’s family. We strive to uphold our MJR values:
Leadership |
Determination |
Wisdom |
Compassion |
Honesty |
Achievement |
Faith |
Creativity |
Thank you to all community friends and families who supported this special mass for our senior students and joined us for afternoon tea afterwards.

Ash Wednesday
We will be celebrating a whole school mass on Wednesday 26th February at 10:00am for Ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, which is 40 days, not counting Sundays, of fasting and repentance prior to the celebration of Easter.
“Repent and believe in the Gospel.”
Wearing ashes on our foreheads is a tradition of repentance that comes from the Old Testament. Ashes were a way for people to be humble before God and show that they were willing to make a big change in their lives. We are marked with ashes for the same reason: to show that we are willing to change. The physical symbol—ashes—is for our benefit. God knows what is in our hearts; the ashes remind us to turn our hearts toward God. Lent is a time to change, to become a better version of ourselves, and to become more like Jesus. The ashes we receive on Ash Wednesday remind us of our call to repent and believe in the Gospel. The disciplines of Lent—prayer, fasting, and almsgiving—help us prepare for Easter.
Project Compassion
Project Compassion is Caritas Australia’s annual Lenten fundraising and awareness-raising appeal. Millions of Australians come together in solidarity with the world’s poor to help end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity. This year’s theme is: Go Further TOGETHER
