From the Principal
Sun safety: During Term 4 and Term 1 of each school year, we become more stringent with our sun safe policies. As this is going to be a long hot Summer we have placed a few more rules to keep our students safe. From now on students will only be allowed to eat under the Shelter Shed rather than sitting out in the direct sun to eat at lunch and recess time. We have purchased 4-hour protective sunscreen which students will put on at lunchtime EVERY day that they are at school. If you would prefer your own sunscreen, please label and send into school.
Heat rule: Every year we have a wet weather roster and we have a heat rule. The heat rule comes into effect when the weather is too extreme and we feel that the safety of our students would be compromised by being outside. We are also placing restrictions on when we go out for sports times. We will aim for early morning sport for the rest of the term to assist with being outside in the cooler parts of the day.
Water: With the weather warming up it is vitally important that ALL students have water bottles at school. We are happy to keep these bottles at school all week and send them home on a Friday to be washed and brought back to school on Monday mornings. The students have access to water to fill up throughout the day. Please make sure that your child has a water bottle and that it is labelled with your child’s name.
Goal setting: Goal setting has been completed for Term 4 and the students have been very busy working towards fulfilling their goals.
Picnic Race Calcutta: Trinity hosted the Picnic Race Calcutta at the Harden Country Club last Friday night. What a great night it was and a huge thank you goes to Mrs Jill Parker for her organisation of this event. The money raised from this will go towards completion of the Library outdoor space.
Disco: With so many things on next week, we have changed the date of our School Disco to Friday 29th November at 6.30pm.
Have a lovely weekend!
God Bless,
Marylou Gorham
