League Tag Team off to the Finals

Next Tuesday our Year 3 / 4 Girls League Tag side will travel to Wagga to compete in the Trent Barrett Shield Finals.

This is a wonderful accomplishment for the girls and we wish them every success on the day.

The competition will be held at Paramore Park, Copland Street, Wagga. The first match is at 10:55am against Sturt PS.

We wish the girls all the best at this level of the competition. Results and reports from the day will be printed in next week’s newsletter.

Cancellation - Young Touch Football Gala Day

It is with great disappointment I have to announce that the Gala Touch Football day scheduled to be held in Young next Tuesday has been cancelled due to lack of support from surrounding schools.

I am assuming the fact that the Trent Barrett Shield Finals in Wagga being held on the same day may have factored into this happening.

The organisers in Young are also disappointed but it is beyond their control if they do not have registered school teams to warrant the competition going ahead.

We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this may inflict on our students but we look forward to hopefully a better outcome in 2020.

I can confirm that Trinity Catholic School registered 3 teams for the day (having to pull ONE out due to commitment to Trent Barrett Shield Finals in Wagga) and were the ONLY school to have registered as of last Wednesday.

I appreciate your understanding with this issue.

Coming Sports Events

Boorowa Touch Football and Netball Gala Day

The Boorowa Touch Football and Netball Carnival will be held at the Boorowa Showground on Friday 25^th October (Term 4). Children from Years 2-6 will be participating in this carnival.
