From the Principal
Student Learning: Recently we had Professor Kaye Lowe, Literacy Consultant visit Trinity and work in the classrooms with the students and with the teachers. Kaye was astounded with the progress that all of our students are making at Trinity which she attributed to the hard working teaching staff and all of our parents who are supporting the children at home with their learning. In the busyness of the day it is often hard to find the time to hear the children read and it is wonderful that this is given priority both at school and at home. This applies for all students-young or in the senior classes. It is so important to keep our children reading.
Numeracy Learning: On Wednesday June 19, Mr Matt Sexton, Numeracy Consultant, will be visiting classrooms working with the students and with the class teachers. The staff and the students love having the consultants come to Trinity and it is wonderful to see the leaps that the children are taking across the school from Kinder to Year 6 with their learning every single day, in and out of the ‘Learning Pit’. Have you asked your child lately where they are in the ‘Learning Pit?’
School Photos: On Tuesday 11th June we have our annual school photos being taken. We ask that all students wear their blue winter school uniform, this includes the school tie and school coloured hair accessories. Photos will be taken with the blue woollen school jumper on and we ask that all students have their jumper at school that day. Please note that money and school photo envelopes are due back at school by Tuesday 11th June.
URGENT Community Council Positions Vacant: Unfortunately, we have been unable to fill all positions. I urge all parents to consider taking up one of the following positions: Community Council Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Events and Promotion person. We meet twice a term and the meetings go for no more than an hour. The next Community Council meeting is on Monday June 17 at 6pm.
School Counsellor Parent Survey: CE are currently conducting a review of school counsellor and well being services. We invite you to complete an online survey which may be accessed by following the hyperlink:
In advance, we thank you for taking the time to share your insights and perspectives. We value the input of all our parents.
Mrs Cooper has been on Long Service leave for the past 2 weeks having a well earned rest from teaching. We look forward to seeing Rebecca back at Trinity on Monday June 17. WE are certain she will have lots of stories to share about her recent holiday.
Next week, is Sabbath Week. During Sabbath Week the children do not have to complete any Homework other than reading. Use this opportunity to play a board game with your family, go to the park, have a picnic or do something special.
Have a lovely long weekend
God Bless
