Making Jesus Real
During the next two weeks we will be re-visiting some of our themes in MJR throughout the school. Teachers will be looking for children who are especially showing the way they can ‘make Jesus real’ in our school – on the playground, in the classrooms, during community visits – by being welcoming, thankful, inclusive and leading by example.
Family Mass
This Sunday, 15th September, we will be celebrating our last Family Mass with Fr. Joshy at St. Anthony’s Church in Harden. All families are warmly invited to come along and share in the ministries. Thank you to all the children who are coming along to share in the ministries for this special mass. Please make sure you are at the church by 8:45am to get ready. We look forward to seeing you there.
Farewell Mass for Fr Joshy
God gives us the gift of light. Light reflects goodness. We are all called to be the light of the world. This theme reflects how we perceive Father Joshy. He has been our light and our guidance. We are thankful for the many school and family masses, Graduations, Senior Inductions, Sacramental ceremonies and other special occasions Father Joshy has led and supported us in. He has been a welcomed face in the school playground and classrooms and will be fondly remembered by the students for his keen interest in Basketball and other sports. During the celebration, we acknowledged Father Joshy as our model of faithfulness. We offered our prayers of thanksgiving and wished Father Joshy every success in his continuing mission of bringing light to the world of others. In the words of the Gospel of Matthew:
In the same way, let your light shine before others,
That they may see your good deeds and glorify
your Father in Heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
After the mass we all congregated on the railway bridge with Father Joshy where our Prime Ministers delivered a short speech, thanking him on behalf of the children for his commitment in leading the spiritual development of the Trinity Family over the past five years. Balloons were then released as a symbol that we are sending Father Joshy forth on his next mission in life with our support, prayers and gratitude.
Thought of the Week
Wishing everybody a wonderful week,
God bless

Yr 3-6 Open House Assembly
What a fantastic assembly Yr 3-6 presented to our school community this morning. Yr 3/4 presented some beautiful stories the children had written from Indigenous Literature, undertook role plays from drama and displayed their artworks. Yr 5/6 are currently reading the book 'Around the world in 80 days', so they based their performances on this through greetings from different countries, interviews and stories.. Well done Yr 3-6!
This week in Peer Support the children explored how to join groups and how to accept others into their friendship group. The activities gave the children a chance to practise these skills, as well as how to say no in a respectful way, cope with being told no and inviting others to join them.
We encourage your child to discuss with you the importance of saying no to people in a respectful way so that they don’t lose friends. Also discuss with your child various options they have at school if they should find themselves without anyone to play with during break time.

The girls league-tag team won all 3 of their games against much bigger schools and are now off to Wagga for the Trent Barrett Finals on Tuesday 24th September. Well done!!!
They all showed great sportsmanship throughout the day - we are so proud of them. Well done!
Many thanks to Miss O’Brien and Mrs Burns for taking the children and to the many parents who came along to encourage and support the children. Special thanks to John Bassingthwaighte, Trent Jackson and Jen McKay for their coaching expertise during the day.
