Congratulations to our Students: Over the past two weeks I have had the pleasure of reading every child's school report. The children are very proud of their achievements and have worked hard to improve their learning and are to be congratulated for their efforts. Each student has worked hard to achieve the goals that they set, earlier this term. Report time is an opportunity for you as parents or carers, to celebrate and share the achievements of your child/children and discuss areas to focus on for semester two. Take the opportunity to sit down with each of your children and share and discuss the report together. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher. Please ensure you read the information attached with the report on the five point grading scale. Remember anything higher than a ‘C’ is achieving above bench mark levels, a ‘C’ is achieving and a ‘D’ is developing.
2020 Enrolments: As of this year, all enrolment forms are to be completed by parents online. If you wish to send your child to Trinity the enrolment form can be found on our Trinity website at https://www.trinitym.nsw.edu.au. Click on enrolment and fill out the form. If you happen to experience any difficulties, please contact the front office for assistance. The website is well worth a visit for all our parents. It is very informative, all the 2019 newsletters are there along with additional information, policies and photos about Trinity and our current staff. Filling enrolment forms out now, enables Catholic Education to provide our staffing allocation for 2020. If you know of a pre-schooler or students who would like to attend Trinity next year it would be wonderful if you could pass this information onto them. Our 2020 Kinder Information evening for parents is on Monday August 5, week 3 of term 3 commencing at 6:45pm in the Kinder classroom. Kinder Orientation dates are Monday October 21, 9:10 to 12pm, Tuesday October 29, 9:10 to 12pm, Wednesday November 6, 9:10 to 12pm, Thursday November 14, 9:10 to 3:10pm and Friday November 22, 9:10 to 3:10pm. Please contact the front office if you’d like a tour. They are available at any time.

Plain Clothes Day: Next Friday we will be having a plain clothes day. The children are permitted to wear their favourite plain colours in exchange for a gold coin donation. Money will go towards Caritas Australia. Please ensure they wear sensible closed in shoes. A special meal deal lunch will be available at the canteen.

Peer Support Program
Our senior students spent yesterday with our Wellbeing Teacher, Mrs Babos and Mrs Doolan learning valuable leadership skills as part of our Peer Support Program. They developed team work skills and how to pass on important attributes such as resilience, sense of self, living positively and creating harmony.
Next term, they will lead a group of students from all classes across the school, building positive relationships and passing on, through hands on activities, critical life skills.
Toddler Gym
The final Toddler Gym session was held yesterday afternoon. The children have had so much fun this term balancing and strengthening their mini-muscles! At the end there was a little graduation celebration, where certificates were awarded.
Stay tuned for more information on our Term 3 Toddler Creative Arts Program. It will be another 8 week program for 3-4 yr olds, including drama, arts and music skills.
Making Jesus Real
MJR has a simple message – Jesus is part of our lives and can change the way we live; that we can make Jesus real through our daily actions and words.
An important aspect of MJR is learning how to recognise ‘God Moments’ in an encounter with a friend.
God Moments include;
- a cheerful greeting
- a smile
- a wink of encouragement
- an offer of a helping hand
- an unexpected compliment
MJR leads us to be ‘winners and grinners’ rather than ‘moaners and groaners’, to look for positives in each day, and to make sure we let others know how much we appreciate them in our lives, and how to pass on the Good News each day.
Have you encountered a ‘God Moment’ today?
Whole School Mass
Kinder and Year 1/2 led our whole school Mass today. The theme was celebrating the Power of Prayer. Prayer is such a powerful tool which helps us to communicate with God. Thank you Kinder and Year 1/2 for such a beautiful Mass.
A Prayer of Thanks for Family and Friends
Blessed are You, loving Father,
For all your gifts to us.
Blessed are You
for giving us family and friends
To be with us in times of joy and sorrow,
To help us in days of need,
And to rejoice with us
in moments of celebration..
Father,
We praise You for Your Son Jesus,
Who knew the happiness
of family and friends,
And in the love of Your Holy Spirit.
Blessed are you for ever and ever.
Amen.
Thought for the week
Wishing everybody a wonderful week
God Bless
