From the Principal

I find it very difficult not to share my enthusiasm and love for the Trinity community, so

hello, hello, hello, I hope the term has started as well for you as it has for me. If it hasn’t please make an appointment to see me so we can talk through whatever needs of yours are not being met.

TEAMING UP IN TERM TWO-you may recall me introducing this phrase last term, we really want to build the team aspect of Trinity, we are undoubtedly TEAM TRINTTY, and we are ready to advertise it to the community. So here are a few of our initiatives for this term:

TEAMING UP WITH BUNYIP: Last Wednesday four year five students and I went to Bunyip with a dual purpose; for our year fives to begin their action research project about the purpose and audience of text and for our Bunyip friends to get to know our senior students. It was a very proud moment for me, our community would be proud.

TEAMING UP WITH STEPH COOKE: Today Steph Cooke visited to be part of the second sitting of Parliament at Trinity. Our senior students delivered their Ministerial reports with clarity and concision. Ms Cooke addressed our students and shared her insights into leadership. We look forward to her visiting us again in 2021.

TEAMING UP WITH TERRACOTTA: This coming Monday will be the first day that Mrs Lucas will take a group of students to the Terracotta to read the novel, The Boy and the Spy.  If your child would like to join and you have not sent in your permission note please contact penny.lucas@cg.catholic.edu.au before Monday afternoon.

TEAMING UP WITH PARENTS: If your WWCC is not up to date, please update it online and send your paper work to Leanne so she can verify your number. This will enable you to be in the classroom, help at events and be part of TEAMING UP. Alternatively, if you do not have a WWCC please apply at https://wwccheck.ccyp.nsw.gov.au/Applicants/Application so you can come in and support learning at Trinity.

TEAMING UP WITH PEER SUPPORT: Next week our senior students will be trained in the peer support program. This is a significant highlight of Trinity, our students are well equipped to play with all students, there are no limitations to who they can play with because we upskill them in social play. Being on playground duty at Trinity is a pleasure, students play with one another, negotiate, include all ages in any game and modify to suit.

REMINDER: We hope to see all our mum’s and grandmothers at Trinity on Thursday May 6th from 8:15am for warm croissants, fruit salad, tea and coffee. This will be followed by the K-2 open House at 9:30am.

WHO AM I?

Last weeks WHO AM I? was Harry Edwards and Fletcher Betts.

The winner of the Mufti and Milkshake voucher was Charlie Jackson.
